BELGADE - Serbia's caretaker Finance Minister Sinisa Mali said on Thursday the upcoming EXPO 2025 in Osaka was an opportunity to boost cooperation with Japan and that more than 160 Serbian companies had confirmed they would take part in the expo.
Serbia is the only country in the Western Balkans that will have its own pavilion in Osaka, Mali said at the EXPO Osaka 2025 Launch Event at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (PKS) headquarters in Belgrade.
Serbia and Japan have maintained a tradition of friendship for 140 years, and this is an opportunity to strengthen that friendship, he noted.
"This is important for the promotion of the EXPO that will be held in Belgrade in 2027, as well as for strengthening the cooperation with Japan," Mali said.
At the PKS, JT International AD Senta and Cultcrave signed a partnership agreement on promoting Serbian culture at the Serbia pavilion at EXPO 2025.
