BELGRADE - Western powers and Pristina worked on Kenya's recognition of so-called Kosovo for two and a half years, while Serbia was trying to stop that, says Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.
Vucic said Serbia would engage in discussions with other eastern African countries to avert further recognitions of the so-called Kosovo and that two more derecognitions would be announced within 15 to 20 days.
"We will speak with everyone in eastern Africa, in Congo, to ensure that does not spread, and, within about ten to fifteen days, we will cause a surprise - hopefully, with a country from the very same region, near Kenya, and another African country," Vucic said on RTS on Thursday evening.
He said major Western countries had directly sent their representatives and envoys to Nairobi to get Kenya to recognise the so-called Kosovo.
"They were working on that also when it comes to the Srebrenica case. At that time, we managed to get Kenya's abstention, which was a big surprise," Vucic noted.
