Vucic meets with UAE FM in Abu Dhabi

ABU DHABI - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday.

In a post on his buducnostsrbijeav Instagram post, Vucic wrote that the meeting had been a follow-up to excellent discussions held in Belgrade in January and that it had especially focused on even faster development of comprehensive and strategic bilateral and economic cooperation.

"Inevitably, we also exchanged views on the latest developments in the geopolitical situation and tectonic disruptions in the architecture of international relations that have opened up numerous new conflicts and brought great uncertainty and deep divisions among nations and states. We agreed that there is no alternative to advocating peace in international relations, and that our countries are sincerely committed to that objective."

In a time when old alliances are being destroyed and new ones created, Serbia proudly notes its friendship with the UAE as one of the main factors of peace not only in the Middle East, but also much beyond, he also noted.

Vucic, who is on a working visit to the UAE, previously also met with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed al Nahyan to discuss the geopolitical situation and advancement of bilateral relations and cooperation.
