BELGRADE - Serbian Armed Forces Chief of General Staff Gen Milan Mojsilovic said the National Security Council had held a session on Thursday to discuss the security situation in the region and Serbia's Autonomous Province of Kosovo-Metohija.
Mojsilovic said Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, who chaired the session, had informed an extended Council of a non-paper drawn up by Germany and France regarding Republika Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
"That document makes the position of Republika Srpska more difficult. Guidelines were defined at the session, tasks and guidelines were issued about what Serbia's attitude to that will be," Mojsilovic told reporters after the session, which lasted for more than an hour and a half.
He said daily harassment of Kosovo-Metohija Serbs across the province by Pristina institutions had been discussed as well.
"On a daily basis, we have been witnessing unprecedented implementation of unilateral moves jeopardising minorities, the Serbs in this case," he said.
"This issue merited the attention of not only the Council, but more broadly - specifically, in terms of defining conclusions and guidelines," Mojsilovic said.
He said the Council members had defined tasks relating to the Serbian Armed Forces, the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of the Interior.
