Kozarev meets with Haimbe

BELGRADE - Secretary-General at the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dusan Kozarev on Thursday received Zambian FM Mulambo Haimbe, who is on a working visit to Serbia.

During a working lunch, Zambia's support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia was confirmed, the MFA said in a statement.

The parties noted the traditionally close ties between the two peoples and countries, which date back from the era of Yugoslavia's support for decolonisation of Africa and the establishment of the Non-Aligned Movement, and reviewed a series of issues of importance for further strengthening of mutual ties.

They said there was special mutual interest in cooperation in the IT and infrastructure sectors and when it comes to critical raw materials and dedicated development aid provided by Serbia to partners such as Zambia.

The two sides agreed to step up exchanges of official visits and expand the contractual basis, the MFA also said.
