Macut, Pakistani ambassador discuss bilateral relations

BELGRADE - Serbian PM Djuro Macut met with Pakistani Ambassador to Belgrade Ali Haider Altaf on Friday to discuss advancement of political dialogue and bilateral economic relations.

At the meeting, the parties highlighted the years-long tradition of friendly relations between Serbia and Pakistan and expressed readiness to develop those relations further through concrete projects, the Serbian government said in a statement.

Macut said there was major potential to advance the cooperation in the economy, education, agriculture, innovation and sustainable development.

Macut invited Pakistan to become an active participant in the specialised EXPO 2027 in Belgrade, which will be an opportunity to showcase Pakistan's potential and culture, the statement said.

Altaf noted that Pakistan saw Serbia as a stable and dependable partner, and stressed the importance of continued dialogue and mutual understanding.
