Vucic: Serbia remains open to investments helping digital transformation

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with a senior Huawei delegation on Wednesday, and noted that the discussions had been extremely useful and concrete and that the meeting had been an opportunity to confirm Serbia's commitment to strengthening digital infrastructure in the country and boosting technological capacities.

In a post on his buducnostsrbijeav Instagram account, Vucic said special attention had been devoted to the Chinese ICT giant's cooperation with the Serbian Interior Ministry.

"I am confident that this cooperation will bring concrete benefits to our citizens, creating new jobs and encouraging innovation in our digital ecosystem," Vucic posted.

He also noted that Serbia remained open to investments that advanced its technological infrastructure and contributed to accomplishing the goal of digital transformation.
