Vucic: 880,000 people have visited Serbia pavilion at Osaka EXPO - incredible result

OSAKA - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Monday 880,000 people had visited the Serbia pavilion at the Osaka Expo to date and noted that this was an "incredible result."

"Our figures are really good. So, exactly 880,000 visitors have come to this pavilion to date. We expect to surpass 1,100,100 in Osaka, which is incredible, and almost 500,000 more than expected. We expected 650,000," Vucic said after visiting the Serbia pavilion at the Osaka EXPO.

"In a very small restaurant, we have around 2,000 people a day. Our venue has a total floor space of 840 sq m and it is one of the most economical and one of the most beautifully designed ones," he said, adding that the pavilion had been designed by Serbian architects.

"Jaksa Nikodijevic, who has worked in Japan for many years, and is working in China and in Belgrade now. I am quite proud of the way it looks. I hope that, for our EXPO 2027, will succeed in making something that will be modern, innovative and different and attract a huge number of people," Vucic said.
