Macut, Iranian ambassador discuss development of bilateral relations

BELGRADE - Serbian PM Djuro Macut met with Iranian Ambassador to Belgrade Mohammad Sadegh Fazli on Thursday to discuss bilateral relations and opportunities for their further advancement.
"Macut pointed out the importance of further strengthening of political dialogue and emphasised that Serbia remains committed to developing partnership relations based on mutual respect and understanding," the Serbian government said in a statement.
"The Prime Minister also stated that improved cooperation is possible in the areas of medicine, education, trade, education, sport and culture.
Macut said that bilateral relations between Serbia and Iran are on a high level, and stressed that Serbia is grateful to Iran for not recognising the self-proclaimed independence of 'Kosovo'," it also said.
Fazli expressed Iran’s readiness to continue to strengthen cooperation in multiple sectors and improve the ties between the two peoples.
