Vucic congratulates Babis on becoming Czech PM

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on Tuesday congratulated Andrej Babis on his appointment as Czech PM.

"Congratulations to my dear friend Andrej Babis on his appointment as Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, a role he assumes at a time of complex challenges that demand the prudence of a statesman and the wisdom born of rich experience. His unwavering dedication, energy, and commitment to the welfare of Czech citizens will once again invigorate his country’s path of progress, with Serbia remaining a steadfast and sincere partner," Vucic posted on X.

"I am confident we will continue to strengthen our cooperation, advancing our countries toward a new era of stability and prosperity," Vucic concluded.

Czech President Petr Pavel appointed Babis as PM earlier in the day.

Babis's ANO party won the October 3-4 parliamentary elections.
