Vucic speaks with Aliyev about energy cooperation, strategic partnership

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic spoke by phone with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on Wednesday about current global affairs, especially cooperation in the energy sector and advancement of strategic partnership between the two countries.

"A good and substantial phone conversation with President Aliyev, during which, above all, I wished him a happy birthday and thanked him for his personal commitment to the friendship with our country," Vucic posted on his buducnostsrbijeav Instagram account.

They discussed current global affairs and affairs of joint interest, with special emphasis on energy cooperation, stability and further advancement of strategic partnership between Serbia and Azerbaijan.

"I reiterated that Serbia is exceptionally appreciative of the friendly relations with Azerbaijan, which are based on mutual respect, trust and concrete results, and invited President Aliyev to visit Serbia," Vucic also posted.
