NIS - The head of the Serbian government Office for Kosovo-Metohija Petar Petkovic said on Thursday the upcoming December 28 elections for the Kosovo-Metohija provincial assembly in Pristina were crucial for the survival of Serbs in the province.
Petkovic called on internally displaced Serbs who are holders of documents issued by Pristina to turn out in the elections and vote for Srpska lista, noting that the party's victory in the polls was especially important.
"Just like we have managed to win in all ten Serb municipalities in local elections and ensure that Srpska lista mayors are back at the helm of four municipalities in the north of Kosovo-Metohija and confirm our victory in six municipalities south of the Ibar River, it is now important that we win the ten guaranteed seats in the Pristina assembly in these so-called parliamentary elections," Petkovic told a conference in Nis.
If Srpska lista wins all the ten seats, that will make all other political processes impossible without it, Petkovic said, noting that the party exclusively insisted on the interests of Kosovo-Metohija Serbs.
