BELGRADE - After a meeting with Slovenian Parliament Speaker Zoran Stevanovic in Belgrade, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Thursday he was confident there was space for further advancement of bilateral political, economic and parliamentary ties to mutual benefit, and invited Slovenia to take part in EXPO 2027 Belgrade.
"I thanked Slovenia for supporting Serbia's European path and noted that a continuation of a policy encouraging cooperation, forging of ties and preservation of stability in the region is of special significance for our country. I especially highlighted the significance of economic cooperation, given an intensive trade exchange, a large number of Slovenian companies that are operating successfully in Serbia as well as a growing presence of Serbian entrepreneurs on the Slovenian market," Vucic posted on Instagram.
Vucic added that he had taken an opportunity to invite Slovenia to take part in Specialised EXPO 2027 Belgrade.
"I am confident the event will represent an additional opportunity for forging additional ties between our countries, experience-sharing and showcasing potentials to the whole world," he posted.
Vucic and Stevanovic discussed further strengthening of Serbia-Slovenia relations, current regional and European affairs, as well as advancement of inter-parliamentary cooperation.
