Vucic: Serbia's economic growth rate to exceed 3 pct from 2026 and make us one of best countries in Europe

GOLUBAC - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Monday he was satisfied with implementation of infrastructure projects in the "challenging" year of 2025 and added that he expected Serbia's economic growth rate to exceed 3 pct from 2026, which he noted would make Serbia one of the best countries in Europe.

Vucic said this during a tour of the construction site of a section of the Danube Corridor near Golubac, eastern Serbia, and noted that the government must fight and complete all projects to change the face of Serbia.

He said an expressway from Belgrade to Golubac would be completed by November 2026, after which Golubac would be just an hour and 15 minutes' drive away from Belgrade.
