BELGRADE - Serbian Progressive Party leader Milos Vucevic, who is also adviser to the president of Serbia on regional affairs, said on Wednesday 2025 had been a very difficult and uncertain year, but that the situation in the country was now more stable and that he did not expect scenarios from this year to repeat in 2026.
"This is a difficult year, but we are ending it in a slightly more relaxed manner. Both objectively and subjectively, it was a difficult year. I would not like anything that happened in the past year to repeat for us ever again," Vucevic told K1 TV.
He said 2025 had been marked by difficult topics - what would happen, whether students would be taking exams and whether children would be going to school, whether there would be elections or a new government and where the country was heading.
"It is good that we are seeing off this year with a smile. I think a repeat of what happened in 2025 is impossible, for several reasons. I do not think everything will be ideal, but I do not see a chance of what happened in 2025 repeating for us in 2026," Vucevic concluded.
