BELGRADE - With his rhetoric and the moves he has been making in the north of Kosovo-Metohija, Pristina's caretaker PM Albin Kurti has united all supporters of a policy of no Serbs or Serbian institutions in the province, says Post of Serbia Director Zoran Andjelkovic.
"You have seen that they (Pristina) had a problem with a (Christmas) slogan, something that represents a foundation of Christianity and a call for peace, and that they seized even that. It is clear that that rhetoric and that attitude towards the Serbs have concentrated the electorate and brought together all those who support an ethnic cleansing of Serbs from the Autonomous Province of Kosovo-Metohija," Andjelkovic told Tanjug after a banner with the Orthodox Christmas message of "Peace of God, Christ is born" was seized by Pristina's police in the north of Kosovska Mitrovica on Saturday.
Asked what Kosovo-Metohija Serbs could expect in the wake of December 28 early elections in the province, Andjelkovic said Kurti could be expected to try to distance himself further from Srpska lista, which he noted was the only legitimate representative of Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija, by attempting to get Serb politician Nenad Rasic re-elected as deputy speaker of the provincial assembly and appoint an official of Rasic's party as a government minister.
According to the latest electoral results, Kurti's Self-Determination movement won 50.2 pct of votes.
