BELGRADE - The head of the Serbian government Office for Kosovo-Metohija Petar Petkovic said on Monday Pristina's negotiator in the dialogue with Belgrade, whoever he or she may be, was exclusively a representative of provisional self-government institutions in Pristina.
"All in line with UN Security Council Resolution 1244 and the (2010) UN General Assembly Resolution on launching status-neutral dialogue. A clearly defined framework, and not someone's wishful thinking, is what determines the course and direction of dialogue," Petkovic posted on X.
Petkovic was reacting to Pristina's statement that Glauk Konjufca had informed the EU's special envoy for the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue Peter Sorensen that Pristina's ministry of foreign affairs and the diaspora would take charge of the dialogue process.
During an unannounced visit to Pristina, Sorensen met with Konjufca earlier in the day to discuss the current state of the dialogue and the approach and the principles required to ensure a more efficient and sustainable process.
Until now, Pristina's chief negotiator was Besnik Bislimi.
