Brnabic meets with Danish ambassador to Belgrade

BELGRADE - Serbian Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic and Danish Ambassador to Belgrade Pernille Dahler Kardel met on Tuesday to discuss Brnabic's upcoming visit to Copenhagen, scheduled for Thursday.

During the visit, Brnabic will meet with Danish King Frederik X, among others.

"Brnabic said that Serbia wants to develop even closer ties with the Kingdom of Denmark and that she hopes her visit would be a significant step toward it. As key areas of cooperation between Serbia and Denmark, she mentioned modernisation of education, digitalisation and the green transition," the press office of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia said in a statement.

"The officials also spoke about Serbia’s European integration and all the reforms the country is conducting on the path to it. Brnabic thanked Denmark for its support, once again stressing that membership in the European Union Serbia’s strategic goal," it also said.
