BELGRADE - Serbian Deputy PM and Socialist Party of Serbia leader Ivica Dacic was hospitalised with severe pneumonia in Belgrade on Wednesday afternoon.
Assistant Director at the Clinical Centre of Serbia's Pulmonary Clinic Spasoje Popevic said on Thursday morning Dacic remained in serious condition but was more stable compared to Wednesday evening.
He said Dacic was still on a ventilator and receiving intensive treatment, but noted that doctors had succeeded in stabilising his condition.
"He is still in serious condition. The battle goes on, he is on a mechanical ventilator, and we have now succeeded in stabilising his condition. It is too early to make any predictions," Popevic said.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and members of the Serbian government visited Dacic at the clinic on Wednesday evening.
