Serbia, Lebanon to boost cooperation in agriculture, water management

BELGRADE - State Secretary at the Serbian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Stana Bozovic met with Lebanese Ambassador to Belgrade Youssef Jabre on Wednesday to discuss advancement of bilateral economic relations in agriculture, the food industry, veterinary medicine and water resource management.

They especially discussed the possibility of concluding a MoU on agriculture, which would help boost Serbia-Lebanon bilateral trade and open up space for investment activities, the ministry said in a statement.

Bozovic thanked the ambassador for Lebanon's principled position regarding respect for the territorial integrity of Serbia, and Jabre informed the ministry's officials of the current situation in Lebanon, including humanitarian challenges.

He noted that support from friendly countries, including Serbia, was of great importance for the people of Lebanon.
