ZRENJANIN - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Monday he believed the date of early parliamentary elections in Serbia would become known by Orthodox St George's Day (May 6) or a few days later.

"I believe that, approximately by St George's Day or a few days later, we will know exactly when the elections will be held," Vucic told reporters in the Tomasevac village near Zrenjanin, northeastern Serbia, where he attended the opening to traffic of a new railway bridge on the Tamis River.

He said the opposition would have "an opportunity to win."

"After all, they have a big wave from Hungary now. They are a bit quiet about Bulgaria and Slovenia, but alright, that is the way it goes. They have a big wave and an enormous opportunity," Vucic added.

Vucic expects to hold discussion with Magyar about Serbia-Hungary relations

ZRENJANIN - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Monday he expected to hold a discussion in the coming days with Peter Magyar - whose Tisza party won the recent parliamentary elections in Hungary - about Serbia-Hungary relations, and added that he believed they would continue to build good relations between the two peoples and the two countries.

"In the coming days, I expect to hold a detailed, thorough, serious and responsible discussion with Peter Magyar about Serbia-Hungary relations. I will inform you of that, and I believe we will continue to build good relations between our brotherly peoples and our friendly countries," Vucic told reporters in the Tomasevac village near Zrenjanin, northeastern Serbia, where he attended the opening to traffic of a new railway bridge on the Tamis River.
