BELGRADE - A 360-degree observation deck on top of Belgrade Tower, situated in the Belgrade Waterfront complex, was opened on Thursday at a ceremony also attended by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Eagle Hills founder and CEO Mohamed Alabbar.

Accessed via lifts directly from the Galerija mall, the deck offers a fully panoramic, 360-degree view of Belgrade and an authentic birds-eye experience of the city.

Located on the 41st floor of the tower, Belgrade 360 Deck has become a new tourist attraction of the capital.

At 168 m above sea level, it is the highest point of Belgrade.

In an address, Vucic said the deck was a new symbol of Serbia and that Belgrade Waterfront had been built for all citizens.

He expressed gratitude for the fact the price of tickets for visitors to the deck had been reduced at his request.

Alabbar said investments into Belgrade Waterfront had reached 5.5 bln euros.

Vucic not surprised by attack on Serbian Orthodox church in Zagreb

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Thursday he was not surprised by an attack on a Serbian Orthodox church in central Zagreb but that he believed Croatian authorities would catch the perpetrators.

The church and its immediate surroundings were vandalised in the night between Wednesday and Thursday.

Asked to comment on the attack, Vucic said he hoped Croatia's anti-Serbian hysteria and campaigning would subside.

"I was not surprised, but I hope the Croatian authorities will catch the perpetrators. I hope their anti-Serbian hysteria and campaigning, which has been going on for a year and a half now, will subside a little. They have failed in their support for a coloured revolution in Serbia. I wish them even less success in the future," Vucic told reporters in Belgrade.

"No Serbs, including those in Zagreb or anywhere else, were surprised by what happened," he noted.
