RASKA - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic reiterated on Thursday that Serbia was militarily neutral and would not change that position, and noted that the country would not join NATO or the eastern military alliance.
Responding to a question from reporters about the great public attention garnered by the Platinum Wolf military exercise - which will involve the Serbian Armed Forces, the US army and ten other countries - Vucic said it would be the seventh such exercise.
"Those exercises bring new knowledge to our soldiers and better combat readiness, and that definitely means capacity improvements for our army. You always learn something from partner armies and you always see how it goes. I do not see a problem, especially since our policy is clear," Vucic said in Raska.
Serbia is militarily neutral and will not change that position, he said.
"We will not be joining NATO, and I am making no secret of that, there are no games behind the scenes, no tricks or I do not know what. No, we will not be joining NATO or any military alliance - including the eastern one - we are not going anywhere. We want to protect our country and our skies on our own," Vucic said.
