BELGRADE- Serbian PM Djuro Macut met on Thursday in Belgrade with Zimbabwean Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Amon Murwira to discuss development of bilateral cooperation based on decades-long diplomatic relations.
"Macut stressed that there is room for improving cooperation not only in the field of economy, but also in other areas such as agriculture, mining, pharmacy, construction, digitalisation and IT, in which Serbia is achieving notable results on a global scale," a government statement said.
"It was emphasised at the meeting that culture and art are also areas that offer great potential for cooperation.
The Prime Minister expressed gratitude for Zimbabwe’s principled position on the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia, which, as stated by the country’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, will not change," the statement said.
Murwira, who is also Zimbabwe's special presidential envoy in the country's bid to become a non-permanent UN Security Council member for 2027-2028, thanked Macut for supporting the effort and noted that diplomacy was the only way for the global civilisation to make progress.
