Vucic visits his family's home in Cipuljic; "I remembered my childhood"

BUGOJNO - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on Monday visited his grandfather's home in Cipuljic in the Bugojno municipality, central Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"Here, outside the Vucics' family home in Cipuljic, I remembered my childhood, the carefree days, the family yard, the ball and the dusty (football) pitches where we were growing up," he posted on Instagram.

"It is a special feeling to return to a place that treasures the most beautiful memories and reminds you that one never forgets where they started from," noted Vucic, who is visiting Republika Srpska and Serb municipalities in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He added that, during his childhood, there had been no mobile phones, but just play, companionship and a few boyish brawls that would last no longer than a football game.

"Those are the memories that stay with you for your entire life," he posted.

Earlier in the day, Vucic invited all good people from Cipuljic and the vicinity - Serbs, Bosniaks and Croats - to come to the renovated family home for a chat.

"Welcome, dear friends!" he wrote in the post.
