BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic opened on Thursday a factory for assembly of Israeli-made UAVs.
"This morning, I was especially proud of Serbia and its successes. I opened a factory for assembly of leading-edge Israeli-made drones, which will have a workforce of around one hundred people and manufacture leading-edge equipment for the Serbian Armed Forces, as well as for the armies of some other countries. Our plans are enormous," Vucic posted on Instagram.
He added that he believed at least three more factories would be opened with Israeli partners across Serbia.
Vucic noted that, due to the confidentiality of the manufacturing process, no reporters had been invited to accompany him on a tour of the factory.
He also posted a video showing some of the UAV models whose manufacture has begun at the plant.
