Djuric: I still think of innocent civilians murdered and abducted in Hamas attack

BELGRADE - On the third anniversary of the Hamas terrorist attacks in Israel, Serbian caretaker FM Marko Djuric said he still thought of the innocent civilians murdered and abducted in the attacks, and noted that terrorism or hatred must never be allowed to prevail.

"Three years later, I still think of the innocent civilians murdered and abducted in Hamas’s terrorist attack on October 7 - families in their homes, young people at the Nova music festival, and children whose lives were changed forever," Djuric posted on X on Wednesday.

"It was an attack on Israel, but also on Jewish people everywhere. Serbia stood with Israel from the first moments. As a Serbian, a father, and the grandson of an Auschwitz survivor, I feel this pain deeply.

May their memory be a blessing. We must never allow terrorism or hatred to prevail," he concluded.

In the October 7, 2023 Hamas terrorist attacks from the Gaza strip, 1,195 people, including 815 civilians - Israelis and foreigners - were killed in Israeli territory, and 251 people were abducted.
