OSLO - Today, we are opening a new chapter in the relations between the Republic of Serbia and the Kingdom of Norway, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said after meeting with Norwegian Parliament Speaker Masud Gharahkhani in Oslo on Monday.
In a post on his buducnostsrbijeav Instagram profile, Vucic wrote that he had thanked Gharahkhani for Norway's constant readiness to help Serbia.
"Not only through its experiences in harmonisation with EU standards and regulations but also through expert and financial assistance to our reform processes, in particular in modernisation of our energy system," Vucic added.
Vucic, who is on a two-day visit to Norway, will have a working lunch with PM Jonas Gahr Store and then meet with Norway's King Harald V and Crown Prince Haakon.
He is also scheduled to lay a wreath at a memorial to Yugoslavs killed in Norway in WWII.
Later in the day, Vucic will visit the Serbian embassy in Oslo and have a working dinner with Norwegian businesspeople.
A Serbian delegation accompanying Vucic includes Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Djedovic, who will meet with the state secretary at the Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum, Andreas Bjelland Eriksen, to discuss bilateral cooperation in the energy sector.
