Vucic welcomes Indian president outside Palace of Serbia

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic welcomed Indian President Draupadi Murmu in a ceremony outside the Palace of Serbia on Thursday.

Murmu was given a red-carpet and guard-of-honour welcome as the national anthems of the two countries were being played.

The ceremony was also attended by Serbian government ministers, National Bank of Serbia Governor Jorgovanka Tabakovic, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia Marko Cadez and an Indian delegation.

Vucic and Murmu then held a narrow-format meeting, after which the Serbian and Indian delegations met for plenary discussions.

The two presidents are scheduled to speak to reporters shortly before noon and a Serbian-Indian business forum will be held afterwards.
