BELGRADE - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic met on Monday with Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to Belgrade Osamah bin Dakhel Al Ahmadi, who presented to her a letter from the country's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud with an invitation to visit Saudi Arabia in the period to come to exchange views on bilateral ties and international affairs of mutual interest in person.
Brnabic noted she was especially pleased the invitation came in a year marking the 10th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries, the Serbian government said in a statement.
She said there were good foundations for advancement of overall bilateral cooperation and explained that the fields of economy, new technologies, e-business, information security, defence and culture held vast untapped potential for deepening the cooperation.
She concluded that a visit to Serbia by the Saudi crown prince would greatly contribute to and particularly encourage overall development of relations and cooperation between the two countries.
The parties welcomed the establishment of a Serbian-Saudi business council and noted that cooperation between Serbian and Saudi businesspeople held great potential.
The ambassador concluded that there were many areas in which cooperation could be advanced and expressed readiness for stepping up dialogue in all areas of mutual interest.
