NEW YORK - Serbian First Deputy PM and FM Ivica Dacic began a visit to New York on Monday with meetings with Western Balkan FMs and attended the opening of a summit on sustainable development goals.
Besides Dacic, a working breakfast hosted by Italian FM Antonio Tajani was attended by the FMs of Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Albania, the so-called Kosovo, Croatia and Slovenia.
Dacic is in New York as a member of a Serbian delegation led by President Aleksandar Vucic.
The delegation will attend the 78th UNGA session.
Dacic has already met with the FMs of Cyprus, Nepal, Armenia and Burkina Faso, an official statement said.
On the fringes of the session, to present Serbia's position on key international affairs, Dacic will participate in and speak at events that will bring together numerous world leaders.
Dacic will also take part in a preparatory ministerial meeting on a summit on the future and a summit on climate ambitions.
Dacic is also scheduled to meet with UN officials and representatives to once again highlight the significance Serbia attaches to the UN, in particular when it comes to protection of its territorial integrity and sovereignty.
