NEW YORK - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Thursday in New York he had had a good meeting with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres and that he had informed the UN's top official of the situation in Kosovo-Metohija.
"We had a good meeting, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has exceptional respect for Serbia and he understands Serbia's position, and we are thankful to him for always showing respect to our country and for highlighting its importance both in the Balkans and Europe and the importance of respect of the principles the UN rests upon," Vucic told reporters.
We said we will be supporting his UN reform agenda in the future and that we are extremely grateful for all contributions he has made to date to implementation of the UN principles and peace-building around the world, Vucic noted.
He said they had had a good discussion on Kosovo-Metohija and that he had informed Guterres of all situations in the province.
