Grenell: Int'l community must pressure Kurti to implement agreements

BELGRADE - Former White House envoy for the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue Richard Grenell said in Belgrade on Wednesday the international community must pressure Pristina's PM Albin Kurti to implement past agreements from the dialogue.

"Right now, the pressure must be on Mr Kurti to implement what Mr (Hasim) Taci promised. He is not doing that, and I believe the international community has the responsibility to pressure him to absolutely make those commitments," Grenell said at the Presidency of Serbia after receiving the Order of the Serbian Flag 1st Class from Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.

Grenell said that, although the process had always been difficult, much more had been achieved in the dialogue before Kurti.

Grenell thanked Vucic, the Serbian government and the people of Serbia for the Order bestowed upon him and said he was greatly honoured by it.

He said he had also received a similar honour from the Pristina authorities three years ago, becoming probably the only person to get such recognition from both sides.
