Borrell: Diplomacy prevailed in de-escalating Kosovo tensions

BRUSSELS - EU foreign policy and security chief Josep Borrell said on Thursday diplomacy had prevailed in de-escalating tensions in the north of Kosovo-Metohija.

"Diplomacy prevailed in de-escalating tensions in north Kosovo. Violence can never be a solution," Borrell wrote in a Twitter post, welcoming the "responsible leadership of President Vucic and PM Kurti."

"Great EU, US and NATO-KFOR teamwork. Thanks to all involved! We now need urgent progress in the Dialogue," he added.
