BELGRADE - The Criminal Non-Trial Chamber of the Higher Court in Belgrade on Wednesday upheld an indictment against Vladimir K and Miljana K, the father and the mother of a K K, a teenager who killed nine of his peers and a security guard in a May 3 shooting spree in a primary school in downtown Belgrade.
The owner of the Partizan Practical Shooting Club and the club's instructor have also been indicted.
The court's decision to uphold the indictment may be appealed with the Court of Appeals in Belgrade.
At an October 10 press conference, the Chief Public Prosecutor of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade Nenad Stefanovic announced that four people had been indicted in the case.
He said the Prosecutor's Office had proposed 12 and 2.5 years in prison for Vladimir K and Miljana K, respectively, and three years in prison for the club owner and the instructor, both of whom are charged with the crime of giving false statements.
Vladimir K is charged with the criminal offence of grave criminal acts against general safety, with having trained his 13-year-old son to handle and shoot from air guns and firearms and with inappropriate storage of firearms.
Miljana K is charged with the criminal offence of illicit manufacture, possession and carrying of arms and explosive substances.
