Serbia beats USA in Olympic 3x3 basketball tournament

PARIS - The Serbia men's national 3x3 basketball team beat the USA 22-14 at the Paris Olympics on Tuesday evening.

The USA took an 8-5 lead early in the game but Serbia responded with a 4-0 run and went on to win the encounter with an eight-point margin.

Marko Brankovic led the scoring for Serbia with eight points, Strahinja Stojacic followed with seven and Dejan Majstorovic and Mihailo Vasic added three and two points, respectively.

Kareem Maddox stood out for the USA with six points.

Serbia will next face China on Wednesday evening, with the USA to take on Poland.
