Shapovalov wins Belgrade Open ATP tournament

BELGRADE - Canadian tennis player Denis Shapovalov has won the Belgrade Open ATP 250 tournament by beating Serbia's Hamad Medjedovic 6-4, 6-4 in the final on Saturday.

Besides 250 ATP points, Shapovalov, who won after an hour and 17 minutes of play, took home 114,055 euros in prize money.

Serbian Novak Djokovic, the greatest male tennis player of all times, was in the audience at the Belgrade Arena during the final match.
