Richarlison brace downs Serbia at World Cup

DOHA - The Serbia men's national football team lost 2-0 to Brazil in a FIFA World Cup Group G Round 1 match in Doha on Thursday evening.

Richarlison provided the goals for Brazil in the 62nd and the 73rd minute following assists by Vinicius Junior.

Brazil missed several chances to score more goals and Alex Sandro hit the post in the 60th minute, while a Casemiro shot rattled the crossbar in the 82nd minute.

Earlier in the day, Switzerland defeated Cameroon 1-0 in the Group G opener. In the second round, Serbia face Cameroon on Monday and Brazil take on Switzerland.
