BELGRADE - The Football Association of Serbia (FSS) announced on Thursday the Serbia men's national football team would play its FIFA World Cup 2026 home qualifying matches against England and Albania at the Rajko Mitic Stadium in Belgrade and host Latvia at the Dubocica Stadium in Leskovac.
Serbia will host England on September 9 and Albania on October 11, and Latvia on November 16.
"Following a detailed analysis, which, besides the sporting aspect and the organisational and security segments, also included consultations with UEFA, a conclusion was reached that the Rajko Mitic Stadium, as the largest football venue in the country, will provide optimal conditions to our national team for playing matches of high importance," the FSS said in a statement.
After drawing 0-0 with Albania away and defeating Andorra 3-0 at home, Serbia have four points from two qualifying matches.
