BELGRADE - The Serbia men's national water polo team lost 15-13 to Montenegro on Tuesday evening in the last round of Group E at the European Water Polo Championship in Belgrade.
Dusan Mandic and Vasilije Martinovic led the scoring for Serbia with three goals each and Djordje Lazic netted two.
Balsa Vuckovic stood out for Montenegro with four goals, while Strahinja Gojkovic scored three.
Serbia has finished the competition's group stage on top of the group table with 11 points and is followed by Hungary (11 pts), Spain (10 pts), Montenegro (9 pts), France (3 pts) and the Netherlands (1 pt).
In the semi-finals, Hungary will play Greece, with Serbia to take on the winner of the tie between Italy and Croatia.
