Red Star Belgrade beat Malmo away to clinch spot in Europa League knockout stage

MALMO - Serbian football champions Red Star Belgrade beat Swedish side Malmo 1-0 away in a UEFA Europa League Match Day 7 game on Thursday evening, clinching a berth in the competition's knockout stage.

Vasilije Kostov scored the winner for Red Star in the 16th minute after a Marko Arnautovic assist.

After a fourth consecutive 1-0 victory in European football's second-tier competition, Red Star are in the 11th place in the Europa League table with 13 points.

In the last game of the league stage, Red Star host Spanish side Celta Vigo next Thursday.
