Sergej Milinkovic-Savic: I cannot wait for games against Spain, Saudi Arabia

STARA PAZOVA - Serbia football international Sergej Milinkovic-Savic said on Wednesday he could not wait to play in the national team's upcoming friendly matches against Spain and Saudi Arabia.

Serbia will play Spain away in Villareal on March 27 and then host Saudi Arabia in Backa Topola four days later.

"First we go to Spain, the country where I was born. It is certainly going to be a tough away game, but it is nice to play against great teams if you want great results. And then it is Saudi Arabia... I will be playing against my club team mates... I cannot wait for both of those games, and for us to start implementing what the boss (head coach Veljko Paunovic) is requesting from us," Milikovic Savic, who plays his club football for Al Hilal Riyadh, said at the Football Association of Serbia (FSS) Sports Centre in Stara Pazova.

Earlier in the day, the FSS awarded a Golden Ball to Milinkovic-Savic for earning more than 50 caps for Serbia.

Luka Jovic and Strahinja Pavlovic also received the accolade, which symbolises continuity, commitment and the special honour of playing for the national team.
