Red Star beat Partizan in Serbia's football derby to win ninth consecutive title

BELGRADE - Red Star Belgrade beat arch-rivals Partizan 3-0 at home in Serbia's 179th Eternal Football Derby on Sunday to clinch the ninth consecutive league title, the 37th in club history.

In front of 30,000 spectators at the Rajko Mitic Stadium, Strahinja Erakovic put Red Star in front in the 18th minute, Adem Avdic extended the lead in the 68th minute and Seol Young-woo made it 3-0 in the 87th minute.

This was Red Star's third victory against Partizan this season.

With four games to go in the Serbian Superliga play-offs, Red Star have secured the title with 82 points, while second-placed Partizan have 65 points.
