Serbia's Danilovic/Djokovic beat China at United Cup

PERTH - The Serbian mixed double of Olga Danilovic and Novak Djokovic defeated the Chinese pair of Zheng Qinwen and Zhang Zhizhen 6-4, 1-6, 10-6 in Perth on Sunday, handing Serbia a 2-1 win over China in the United Cup Group E Round 2.

China have one win and one defeat (4-2) out of two matches, Serbia have one win (2-1) and a match in hand and the Czech Republic have one defeat (0-3) and a match in hand.

Serbia will next face the Czech Republic on Tuesday, with Danilovic to play Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrousova and Djokovic to take on world number 31 Jiri Lehecka.

The winners of all six groups and the two best second-placed teams will qualify for the quarter-finals of the tournament.
