Serbian high jumper Angelina Topic wins European silver in Rome

ROME - Serbian Angelina Topic won the silver medal in the women's high jump event at the European Athletics Championships in Rome on Sunday evening.

With a 1.97 m jump in the final, Topic finished behind Ukrainian Yaroslava Mahuchikh (2.01 m) and ahead of Ukraine's Iryna Geraschenko (1.95 m)

On Monday, Serbia's Adriana Vilagos qualified for the final of the women's javelin event with a 60.57 m effort.

The final is scheduled for Tuesday evening.
