BELGRADE - Air Serbia carried a total of 276,198 passengers on scheduled and charter flights in January, the airline said on Wednesday.
"The recorded number of passengers at the very beginning of 2025 is higher compared to the same month last year, indicating a growth trend for the Serbian national airline," the company said in a statement.
"In the first month of the new year, the most popular regional destinations we operated flights to were Podgorica and Tivat, while in Western Europe, most passengers flew to Paris, Zurich, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Vienna, and Milan. The most popular destinations in the broader Euro-Mediterranean region were Barcelona, Istanbul, and London. So far, we have demonstrated our ability to recognise trends and respond to market demands, and we believe that 2025 will bring new development opportunities. This is also reflected in the increased cabin load factor, which is one of the key success factors for airlines," said Air Serbia CEO Jiri Marek.
