HAVANA - Serbian Minister of Tourism and Youth Husein Memic and Cuban Tourism Minister Juan Carlos Garcia Grande met in Havana on Friday to discuss topics including strengthening the cooperation between Serbian and Cuban travel agencies, exchanging youth programmes as well as mutual promotion of tourism supply.

Memic is on a several-day visit to Cuba for the country's 43rd international tourism fair, FITCuba 2025.

The ministers agreed that closer Serbia-Cuba relations in tourism were an important step towards broad cultural and economic cooperation, and expressed willingness for an exchange of study visits and introduction of joint tourism packages and cultural theme days to bring closer the rich history, gastronomy and natural beauties of Serbia to Cubans and vice versa.

Cuba was one of the first countries to confirm its participation in the specialised EXPO 2027 in Belgrade and has also been invited to the 2026 International Tourism Fair in Belgrade, the Serbian Ministry of Tourism and Youth said.
