OSAKA - Opening an investment conference at EXPO Osaka 2025, Serbian First Deputy PM and Finance Minister Sinisa Mali urged Japanese investors to come to Serbia, a country that he noted was a bridge between the East and the West and Europe's third fastest-growing economy.
"You will feel at home in Serbia and we await you with an open heart," Mali said at the conference, which brought together 52 companies and around 90 entrepreneurs from Japan.
Mali also gave a presentation of the specialised EXPO 2027 Belgrade and urged everyone in Japan to come to the event.
He noted that Serbia had a good geographic position and represented a bridge between the East and the West.
"I want to invite you to Belgrade, to a beautiful European country where Japanese friends feel at home," Mali said.
The Osaka conference was attended by representatives of the Serbian and Japanese business communities, institutions and investors
Its aim was to promote potentials for investing in Serbia and deepening the economic and technological cooperation.
