BELGRADE - Serbian First Deputy PM and Finance Minister Sinisa Mali met with KfW Director for Southeastern Europe and Turkey Klaus Muller on Monday to discuss further cooperation between Serbia and the German development bank and current projects and possibilities for further cooperation as part of the Green Agenda, as well as in the fields of energy and waste water.
"The KfW portfolio is in line with the goals of the Government of Serbia, and possibilities for development of our cooperation exist in projects as part of the Green Agenda, energy, the waste water sector. We are grateful to KfW for being a constant support to Serbia in the implementation of the Reform Agenda and all objectives we have set until the end of next year," Mali posted on Instagram.
Maintaining macroeconomic stability is always the priority for Serbia, he noted.
"We are acting responsibly because we want further growth, projected at 3 pct of GDP for next year. We are also fully committed to completing the projects we have launched as part of the Leap Into The Future - Serbia 2027 programme, the umbrella programme for the necessary investments for hosting the international specialised EXPO 2027," Mali added.
He noted that, at this time, Serbia was building ten new motorways and expressways while keeping its public debt under control at around 44 pct of GDP, and added that the foreign exchange rate was stable and that the country had significant foreign exchange reserves.
"We are succeeding in all this amid global circumstances that cannot be predicted, and we are aware that financial institutions notice that," Mali added.
