BELGRADE - Official talks between an International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission and representatives of the Republic of Serbia began with a plenary meeting at the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) on Thursday.
The Serbian delegation is headed by NBS Governor Jorgovanka Tabakovic, who is also Serbia's governor at the IMF, and Serbian First Deputy PM and Finance Minister Sinisa Mali and his aides, as well as an official of the Ministry of Economy, also took part in the discussions, the NBS said in a statement.
The IMF mission, headed by Annette Kyobe, will be in Belgrade until May 5 for a third review under a Policy Coordination Instrument (PCI) arrangement, approved to Serbia by the IMF in December 2024.
The most recent macroeconomic trends, the economic outlook and risks, as well as key issues concerning programme implementation and progress on reforms will be reviewed during the talks.
